Mid-autumn Festival

At the fifteenth day of the eight lunar month is Chinese mid-autumn festival.
Because autumn is the season of harvest, the ancient Chinese wanted to thank god to give them food, they created the mid-autumn festival to sacrifice. Now, Chinese still keep the food culture in mid-autumn festival.

Moon cake 



In the mid-autumn festival, every Chinese eat moon cake. moon cake symbolize family reunion. There are diverse in side moon cake such as red bean, coconut, lotus paste and so on.  

Duck


Chinese eat duck in mid-autumn festival. Chinese think duck is cool food, and eating cool food in dry and muggy season is healthy.

Green soy bean and taro


Autumn is good harvest for green soy bean and taro, so Chinese eat a lot green soy bean and taro.
